Internet users have been in an uproar since Rihanna unfollowed Megan Thee Stallion on Instagram; Megan had always praised the former and expressed her desire to collaborate with the future mom.
In 2019, Rihanna shared similar feelings after she started following the H Town Hottie. She then chose the ‘Savage’ rapper as a brand ambassador for Savage X Fenty in May 2020. Megan has had the opportunity to do multiple photoshoots as an ambassador for Rihanna’s lingerie brand.
Recently, fans have noticed that all of her photos have been taken down from the Savage X Fenty website. According to some people on Twitter, one reason for the feud between the two is that ASAP Rocky allegedly cheated on Rihanna with Megan Thee Stallion. Pop Faction, a news and media agency, recently received a blind item about Rocky allegedly cheating with Megan Thee Stallion.
HollywoodLife reported on March 21 that there were rumors of Rocky and RiRi making progress in their relationship, although the allegations of adultery have not been confirmed. I heard from someone close to RiRi that the couple might be getting engaged soon.
Carl Crawford And Megan Thee Stallion’s Record Label Drama
It’s still unclear why Rihanna decided to unfollow Megan, but Carl Crawford’s comments have shed some light on the situation. Megan’s record label, 1501 Certified Ent., is managed by Crawford. They have been involved in a legal dispute since 2020. In February, Megan’s legal team filed a petition asking for her 2021 CD, “Something for Thee Hotties,” to be recognized as an album according to their recording contract.
According to the rapper’s legal team, they argued in court documents that 1501 did not categorize “Something for Thee Hotties” as a “album.”
On the other hand, Megan’s attorneys argued that the label was trying to exploit her for as much money and unpaid work as they could, for as long as possible.
According to TMZ on March 21, it was reported that 1501 filed a counter-suit claiming that Something for Thee Hotties did not meet certain criteria and therefore should not be considered an album. In order for Megan’s work to be officially recognized as an album, she needs to include a minimum of 12 “new and unpublished master recordings of studio performances.” According to 1501, the new album only has about 29 minutes of fresh content and includes a significant amount of previously released material.
Online Feud Between Megan Thee Stallion And Carl Crawford
After learning of the countersuit, Megan took her legal battle to the internet, referring to Crawford as a “powerhead” and questioning why he had not released her from her contract, despite her no longer being profitable for him.
Subsequently, she indicated that she did not wish to make the matter public, yet she had become weary of being depicted in a negative light. The rapper also charged Crawford of striving for recognition, imploring her to discontinue fabricating the amount of money she owed him.
Crawford countered Megan’s claims by taking to his Instagram stories to assert that the truth would soon be revealed.
Crawford stated, “This is coming from a bona fide alcoholic who [slept with] the entire business, including her best friend’s [lover].”
Speculations arose as to whether Crawford’s claim that Megan had been intimate with the entire music industry was linked to Rocky, and further clarity is expected to be provided as more information comes to light.
