Friday, February 8, 2019, marked exactly one year since the passing of songstress Ebony Reigns.
In remembering the songstress, her father Starbwoy Kwarteng held a jollof party in her honour. He also staged a big concert at the West Hills mall in Accra to mark Ebony’s first anniversary.
Starbwoy Kwarteng who has always professed his love for his daughter has shared two sad photos of Ebony’s finished tomb at the Osu Cemetery. The tomb has a beautiful statue of Ebony placed on it. The photo of Ebony's tomb has stirred emotions on social media just like a photo of her graveyard cast in concrete immediately after she was buried on March 24.
Many people who have come across the image on social media have expressed their sadness. @nanabemma wrote: “Rip my Queen.” @brent_de_honest: “Rest in peace baby girl legend.” @mzbaffowaah also wrote: “Rip Queen.” @serwa_papabi” Let continue to pray for her soul friends.. nice to see you doing this, but I don't see any swag in this.” @bra.kobby: “RIP Ebony Let all gone souls continue to Rest In Peace.”
Born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, Ebony died in a car crash on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway. Ebony, in the company of her friend, Franky Kuri; bodyguard, Francis Atsu Vondee; and driver, Chartey Oko; had visited her mother, Beatrice Oppong in Sunyani and were returning to Accra when their Jeep collided VIP bus. With the exception of the driver, all the passengers on board died in the accident. Ebony would have been 21 years old on February 16, 2018.
